My wife and I have gone here several times in the last couple of months. Not one bad experience. Food is great, beer, wine, and mixed drinks are very reasonably priced. The staff, especially the bar staff are fantastic. Richard & Marie Rainone DELRAY Beach

Get the fish and chips!!! Scotch eggs were a yummy start. The bartender (I believe his name was J.R. or D.J.) was super friendly and helpful. Decent selection of irish whiskey too!

Brilliant Irish pub. Took my parents there to eat and they can be a bit odd with food but they loved it. The food was amazing, big portion, fresh, and delicious. The service was great too and very friendly. Well worth the half hour drive. Can't wait to go back.

Nice Irish bar with good music! Friendly service and reasonably priced drinks. I'd easily go here again if I knew the live music would be good again.

My husband and I had lunch here on Tuesday 10/21/2013. We sat at the bar for lunch it was 1 pm the restaurant was pretty dead. My husband ordered the lunch special which was homemade cornbeef sandwich I had a chicken wrap which was also on the lunch special $6.95. This came with French fries or side salad or soup of the day. Food was tasty service was great with bartender Jen (not sure of how she spells her name?) I would recommend this place as a fun locals place the lunch was delivered quickly and huge portions!! We will be back

This place was very dark as I guess most Irish pubs go, but I got the fish sandwhich and it was very very good, Fish was flaky, the coating wasn't greasy at all, the fries were handcut and tasty as well. The waiter we had was very pleasant. Nothing really to complain about, I had a delicious meal and was glad to have gone to this place.

We stopped in yesterday for a late lunch/early dinner. It was so cute to see the older gentlemen watching the Irish soccer match in the bar area, and as we sat in the dining room we got immediate attention from our waitress. She anticipated our every need and we were very impressed with her excellent service. As always, the food was great.....house salad is mixed greens no iceberg yay....fish n chips hot and crispy, and Guinness BBQ wings are uniquely delicious!!

Drunken chicken was AMAZING!! Loved walking in to pub to hear a real Irish fiddle player! Not to mention an Irish bartender named Kelly who took great care of me!! I'll be back!! I want to try everything else!!

Tom Finnegan's and its out-of-this-world Irish Breakfast while watching the gorgeous hirsute lads beat each other up with passion (a/k/a "Gaelic Football" - who knew?) was a courtesy of my beloved Gina and I relished every moment. It's a bit out of the way (for me and perhaps other Miamians) but if you're in that neck of the woods you won't be disappointed with an Irish gourmand menu that runs the gamut from game to the aforementioned very delicious and filling breakfast that had sausage, puddings (to my translation, more meat sausage), tomatoes, eggs and I believe there was more but that's where my tummy said "stop!" Now I want more. . .

A nice change from the Florida norm. Great happy hour, great food. No gator bites here, sorry

As far as the people here, it's pretty Irish. Greatttt food for a Florida Irish pub (I'm from Boston). Clean. Nice space. The potato soup I tried as per others' reccomendations and I was not disappointed. I haven't had a miss with any of the few times I've ate here.

A quintessential irish bar in the heart of Delray Beach, FL. Reasonable drink prices. Decent pub grub. Amazing old school decor & atmosphere. Free parking, never a cover charge. They had a great Eagles tribute Band Playing. It's a pub goers bar & my favorite pub style bar in Delray Beach, FL

Eat here about once a month. Great people, service, and food. Can't forget the drink. A true Irish pub. Today did breakfast for St Patrick's day. Just grand.

Love it here! Fish and chips are the best and I love the bands that play! Family friendly and super authentic!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. The bartenders were extremely lively and friendly. The food is delicious here. Bangers and mash, fresh fish, scotch eggs, and Montreal steak! Oh, by the way, the portions are ridiculously large but that's how they roll here. One-page menu. Simple list of appetizers, entrees, and drinks. Great for family and friends gathering. Live bands here, the guy who played and sang that night did a fabulous job. Everyone, the staff and customers were all very friendly and in high spirits. Outdoor seating available. Good place to hang out and have a good time.

I come here on Sunday's for the roast. I have had the fish and chips, corned beef et al. All are good and with an older crowd but everyone is welcome. Think old fashioned Irish pub and this is the best.

I like this place but very old crowd. Owners is a nice Irish fellow that will have a drink with you and people are very nice. Live entertainments some nights too!

My new favorite spot in Palm Beach! Six of us went here last night after dinner for a friend's birthday. This spot is hidden behind Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine, so easy to miss, but totally worth the effort to find it. We had drinks flowing all night by two amazingly fun and friendly bartenders, JR and Faith. The owner, Lisa (by the way - bars are always better when run by women), was SO friendly and gracious. From letting us take birthday photos behind the bar to letting us up ON the bar, to hooking us ladies up with cute Finnegan tanks.. we had such an amazingly memorable night. No where else I've been had a bartender (a super skilled bartender, at that), get out from behind the bar to belt out and dance to music ranging from The Smiths to Jay Z side by side with my friends and I. AND he kept up with us the whole night through. Soooo happy this was our destination choice. The night could not have been any better, and no other bar could have provided us with the time we had last night. Patrons for life now!

Was here for St. Pattys Day. ...all food we ordered was great! Bangers & mash, shepard's pie and the corned beef were all done to perfection.

I always appreciate a good pub and make it a point to find one in every city I visit, and this place is by far one of the best I've come across. The menu offers the typical selections you'd expect to find at an Irish pub (Bangers and Mash, Shepard's Pie, Curry Chicken), the bartenders are welcoming and friendly, the decor is very fitting, with a harp on the wall and Gaelic phrases throughout, bathrooms are clean (hopefully all the time), and the food tastes great! Not to mention, the Jameson and ginger ale I had was perfect--it didn't knock me off my bar stool, nor did I have to ask if they accidentally swapped my drink with that of a child. My boyfriend and I both recommend the spinach and artichoke dip (from scratch, unlike most places with the generic, frozen-tasting stuff), Bangers and Mash, and the Chicken Curry.

The food the food the food..omg ..real pub food which is very hard to find, great atmosphere always something going on. Drinks flowing and service spot on. I recommend the chicken curry, or fish n chips or bangers n mash:) the kids portions are very generous and kids are welcome , they even have board games to keep them busy. You can watch most international sports here too. .Highly recommend this pub you can't go wrong!!

We go there all the time. It's super kid friendly, the food is always amazing, specially the curry and the scotched eggs, and the staff is very nice. Entertainment is always good, great environment, nice to see familiar faces every time.

This is a real deal Irish Pub, with great Irish food like Corned Beef and Cabbage, Shepherds Pie, and a very Irish take on Bangers and Mash. Lots of American standards too including a very solid burger. They have a Sunday brunch with Irish Breakfast. Open at 11:00 a for lunch which was handy for me as I like to eat early, particularly a hearty Irish meal. Live entertainment is Dixieland Jazz on Thursdays during Season, and other live music offerings on weekends. The bar has Guinness on tap at the proper temperature, and they're deep in hard-to-find Irish whiskies like Middleton Very Rare, Bushmills 16 and 21 year old, and more! A clean nice place to hang out and catch a good solid meal and a little good conversation, or catch sports on the flat screens!

Not what I expected. It was a Sat night and the place was packed with an older crown. Live Irish band and really good food. Not really a young party atmosphere like most Irish pubs around. Go for dinner but not really to just hangout

A real Irish pub in the heart of South Florida. If you want to go to a warm inviting bar with amazing food, drinks, and service this is your place. A real good mix of people go here, young and old, middle class, and no snobs. Finnegans serves up the perfect pint of Guinness. Always great bands and other events going on such as trivia night. The most authentic St. Patrick's Day celebration as well can always be found here. Stop in, hoist a pint, enjoy a great meal, and make new friends.

I went last night on a Friday around 8 pm. Great location being right off Federal between Delray and Boca. Great atmosphere once inside (outside isn't much to look at). Had an Irish gal working there (owner?) too which added to the experience. My date and I had 2 Magners Ciders & 2 Guiness and we started off with the Scotch Eggs. The eggs were different from anything I've had before and a very good appetizer, I would recommend this to anyone. I ordered the Bangers and Mash which was a great portion and absolutely outstanding. I sampled some of my date's Corned Beef and Cabbage. Everything was absolutely perfect. She substituted the potatoes for vegetables for a slightly healthier option and the waiter didn't blink an eye, substitution no problem. The band was just getting started when we sat down. I loved their irish folk and some of their more standard covers they did as well. They did seem obsessed with Bob Dylan though which was really weird. Between nearly every song they would talk about him, maybe I was missing something. Overall it was a perfect experience for what I was looking for. A calm entertaining night out without breaking the bank. 4 draft beers ($6 ea) app (8 or 10 dollars, memory is foggy here) 2 entrees ($14 ea) -------------- Sixty something dollars plus a nice tip.

We had a great time. The food was quite authentic Irish, and delicious. I just wish the beer was colder. The service was quite good and the entertainment was above par. I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great night.

First off, I just need to say, get more help on the floor. My parents and I went in for a sort of late (2pm) lunch. There were 3-4 people at the bar, 2 couples, and a four top seated. When we came in, the girl at the bar disappeared in back, so I'm not sure if she was front or back of the house. A pleasant, but harried red-haired guy welcomed us and told us to sit anywhere. After a few minutes we noticed he was the only visible employee. He was doing his best, but there were two tables that were uncleared, we had no flatware and he was cashing folks out, getting drinks at the bar, tending the bar and servicing the already eating diners. So, service was lacking, but it was hardly our server's fault, he was busting his butt. What I determined, through experience, was that it is a management issue. With the majority of the local population being an older (read retired) crowd, any foodservice establishment needs to realize there is no lunch rush, or rather, no specific beginning or end to the lunch, be it a rush or not. customers will be in and expecting prompt service and clean tables. Service issues aside, the food was kickin'. We started with the Irish sausage wrapped in flaky pastry that was a good predictor of the quality eats that were to come. The fish and chips was cooked nice and golden crisp on the outside, white and flaky inside. The fries were of the hand-cut variety, thick and crispy wedges that were much more than mere plate filler. The coleslaw, however, was a soupy, wet swamp in the little dish. The Reuben was served open-faced and piled with super tender, lean corned beef, just the right amount of kraut and dressing, blanketed with melted Swiss. The bread could have been grilled a bit more, but that was easy enough to overlook. Being an Irish Pub, the draft beer selection was quite adequate and the food came out of the kitchen in a timely manner. I would imagine T.F.'s is a great place to hang out and drink in the evenings, maybe sometime I'll find out.

I had a coupon for this place so I thought, why not try it out? I'm so glad that I did! It's a great little pub, very cozy, full of good people, good food and good times. I always try the fish and chips whenever it's an option, and the ones here were the best I've had in the area. I went on Saturday and was back again the following Wednesday.

I gotta say I'm really surprised by how good the food was. I didn't have time to sit at the restaurant and eat so my son and I called in for some take out. We order the fish & chips and bangers & mash. Both dishes were fantastic and the portion size didn't disappoint. I've lived near by for years and never been to this small pub or even seen it tucked in the corner by the optical place in the carraba's and panera bread shopping plaza. It looks like a typical Irish pub inside with a few people drinking at the bar.

Long story short. We were at another bar in Delray. We see a gentleman sitting at the bar wearing a Finnegans Irish Pub t-shirt. I tell my better half sitting next to me "we should go check it out, we love Irish Pubs." I googled it right there on my iPhone and we drove there that night. OMG, OMG, OMG!! BEST PLACE! Patrick and JR the bartenders are incredible! They suggest the best and make you feel so welcome and right away part of the family which isn't even the best part! Patrick told of us of this whiskey tour they do and although my man hasn't finished it yet..for sure he will! I highly recommend it! I won't tell you what you get after finishing it. You're going to have to go there and ask! Well worth it! Lisa the owner is amazing and wonderful and personable and is doing a fabulous job running this establishment! She so cute and sweet as can be! The regulars are a great bunch. EVERYBODY made us feel so welcome! You want a GREAT Irish Pub you'll find it here. Everything you can possibly think of or ask for and more! And when you go there, tell them Glen and Amy say "hi!" This was while on vacation and leaving them was soooo sad:(! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!

So, exactly where is YOUR happy place? I guarantee you a shot of Powers and a pint of Guinness it can't be any happier than Tim Finnegan's in Delray Beach. In fact, I'm willing to bet your place is so downright miserable, that if given the chance to spend one raucous night at this cozy pub lifting pint glasses and shoving gravied bangers in your potato-hole, you'd burn your old happy place to the ground for insurance money. This is my happy place. Apparently it is for many, many others of various walks and stages of life. Come here for happy hour and the long bar in a tight, long room is jammed with noshers and revelers of all ages and stature. Gray-haired couples drinking beer and wine and eating fish and chips and shepherd's pie. Young professionals making toasts and watching games at the outside bar. The occasional youngster in an Irish soccer shirt. "Sinn Féin Welcome Here" wooden sign hanging from the ceiling. Band mates hauling Bodhrans, guitars and fiddles through the back door. Middle-aged hipsters (um, that would be me) huddling in close to each other because now the pub is officially standing-room only. (But no worries, the bartenders won't forsake thee!) The Waterboys, Pogues, Billy Bragg and trad Irish tunes coming through the speakers. They have a bartender named Seamus (You can't shame the Seamus), and you're lucky if you can understand a damned thing he says. But the swivel-hipped, broad-shouldered figure and high cheekbones have acquired him many adoring fans, and he's already refilling your glass before you've put down your last sip. Not to be outdone, every bartender there is attentive, friendly, and quick with a story or joke. True professionals, they are. If you see a smiling blond chatting up the patrons, chances are that's Lisa the owner, and she'll treat you like family. Adjoining the bar, there is a restaurant side with tables and seating. So if you want quality Irish style food without the noise of the bar, this is where you want to be. The food is delicious, I can personally attest to the Bogside Bangers & Mash. A friend of mine had the Bundoran Fish n Chips, and it was a massive affair, fried to crisp, golden perfection. This past Friday night I and some coworkers were there for a farewall party for a fellow coworker. The band that night was the (3 pc.) Wolfe Tones. Yes, those Wolfe Tones. If you're a fan of Irish music, you'll know who they are. Tim Finnegan's is a great place for live Celtic rock, trad and roots music at a local and national level. They even teach dancing on weeknights. This is a place that takes absolute pride in its roots and is steadfast in its goal to keep Irish culture alive in Florida. Tim Finnegan's is positively vibrant. This is the kind of place you strike up conversations with happy strangers who might very well end up as your new friends. The only downside is that the bar can get full very quickly. However, there are tables in the back near the stage, and also another bar and seating directly outside. The location (strip mall) offers plenty of parking. They are a little bit hidden behind Las Vegas Cuban and an optical store, but head towards the French restaurant and you'll find it. It's in the same strip mall as Panera Bread and Carrabba's.

Neighborhood Bar... Lisa, the owner, makes it a point to greet and spend time with each and every customer that walks in. Great place to either start your night or end it! Tucked away in a shopping plaza, but dont let that deter you!
